Who we are

Paper & Vows makes personalised wedding newspapers. This page explains what information we collect when you use the site, and what we do with it. We've kept it short and honest — if anything is unclear, just ask.

What we collect

• Account details — your email address and an encrypted password, if you create an account.
• Your newspaper content — the names, stories, dates, photos and other details you type or upload to create your paper. This is the heart of the product, and we treat it as private: it is only ever used to render and print your newspaper, and is never shared, sold, or used for anything else.
• Order and delivery details — your delivery name and address if you order printed copies, and your order history.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. Your card details never touch our servers; we only store a reference to the payment.

Cookies

We use a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in and to remember a paper you're working on before you create an account. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Where your data lives

Our servers are hosted in the EU (Hetzner, Germany). Photos and order details are stored there and included in routine backups so we don't lose your order.

How long we keep it

We keep completed orders and their content so you can re-download your paper and so we have a record of what was printed. Unfinished papers created without an account may be deleted after a period of inactivity. You can ask us to delete your account and its content at any time.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we'll sort it out.
